Infectious Diseases Associates

Infectious Diseases Specialists examine difficult cases. Most of our patients have multiple drug allergies, multiple resistant bacteria, fungi, HIV or other complicated infections. Most patients referred to our practice have failed oral antibiotics. All of our physicians are Board Certified in the subspecialty of Infectious Diseases.

ID specialists review medical data including x rays, laboratory reports such as blood cultures, urine cultures and other pathology data. They also perform a physical exam to help determine and treat the cause of the problem. Due to the number of surgical and orthopedic infections we treat, wound care is often a component of our treatments.

Common infections can be treated by your personal physician. In cases where an infection is difficult to diagnose or does not respond to treatment, your doctor may refer you to an Infectious Diseases specialist.
